| Please send them to me asap. Also check make sure your Junior High coach has turned his form in, we are missing about 50 Junior high forms. |

| Questions in Regard to Junior High State. |
- There is no new rule change.
- There are really no restrictions on the wrestlers. They can attend these types of open tournaments unattached without any coaching from the Junior High or High School coach. The restriction is on school coaches.
- Any High School or Junior High wrestling coach that wants to coach his own child at these events would be allowed to do so without it counting against any season limitations.
- Under Season and allowable schedule on page WR2 number 4.
- Any collegiate style wrestling open tournament held after November 30 and until the completion of the state wrestling tournament in which a school coach is coaching either directly or indirectly a school team or members of a school team would count against the school’s and/or individual’s regular season schedule. |

| RULE CLARIFICATION |
| After attending an officials meeting last night, they have asked me to clarify the rules in regards to the headgears. Some officials were being a little more lenient than others and they wanted to make sure they were all on the same page. |
| Rule 4-1-5, Art. 5 : The uniform shall be worn as intended/designed by the manufacturer. Tape on the ear guards is not allowed by rule. |
| This was gone over in every rule meeting. The two biggest questions: |
| 1. Can athletes use the Velcro strap to draw the head gear straps closer together. NO |
| The Velcro items can be used but only to keep the headgear straps from separating. By drawing them closer together it is altering the design. |
| 2. Can athletes crisscross the head gear straps? No, this also goes against the intended design of the head gear. |
| Athletes could be subject to a Technical Violation and a match point. |
